REVITALIZATION OF ČKD FORMER FACTORIES IN PRAGUE, VYSOČANY

Prague and other cities in the Czech republic are currently struggling with a housing crisis, which causes raising of prices of houses and apartments. For many people it is an unapproachable goal to own a place. Suburb living projects are a slightly cheaper option, although they increase transportation demands and it is not a sustainable option in general. The city government is trying to support transformations of industrial areas - former factories or abandoned buildings – called brownfields. Vysočany district has changed a lot recently. Former industrial areas are demolished and replaced by new residential or administrative buildings. All the development projects have one thing in common – the absence of something that connects them into urban structure. The aim of this project is to desing a new construction instead of former CKD factories, which are not used anymore. Three new urban blocks nearby Kolbenova street are trying to respect other buildings around (if possible) and create a standard for future development. Also, they support the effort of the city council to create a lively boulevard on Kolbenova street. The project is designed as a polyfunctional unit to remain active during the whole day. The concept comprises urban residental blocks, administrative buildings and public spaces.

Mobile Cranes Models Review

The thesis deals with mobile cranes with a lifting capacity of 50 tonnes. The introduction describes the basic concepts related to these machines. Followed by a general cranes overview. This thesis focuses on a brief description of wheeled and tracked mobile cranes. It describes the undercarriage of the wheeled cranes and undercarriage of the tracked crane and crawler crane with it’s basic elements. After that is described the structure of the upper rotating wheel and track mobile truck crane. In the overview are specified the current global producers and companies that already do not produce these machines. Follows the short overview about companies - Grove, Liebherr, Manitowoc, Tadano, Terex-Demag and CKD. In the next part are written more details about company Grove interesting systems which are used in theirs products. At the end of this work are given a table showing the mobile crane on a brand-wheeled chassis with a capacity of over 50 the summary table with belt manufacturers of mobile cranes with a lifting capacity exceeding 50 tonnes.

The Diploma Thesis seeks to evaluate key markets of the SKODA Auto company in terms of purchasing and supply possibilities. It analyzes both Skoda's external and internal environments and assesses current conditions in their key foreign supply market. Furthermore, it describes the purchasing process, methods of localization of suppliers, as well as possible methods of evaluation of Skoda's suppliers. The Thesis should provide the reader with an overview of current trends and opportunities in Skoda's supplier market.

Artistic Cast iron in Region of Blansko

At first, this Bachelor’s thesis contains a research of basic dividing of ferro-alloys and briefly defines cast iron, its types, phase transformations and techniques of heat treatment. Then the thesis deals with artistic casting, especially in the area of Blansko. There is summarized the development and the history of ironworks, machine-works and later the foundry in Blansko. At the end there is an example of a art casting, which describes the complete production proces.

The Thesis with title " Armament production for Whermacht and the Army of Aliance in Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia (1939 - 1945) is interested in detailed description of armament production within quality and quantity armoured of vehicles and infantry weapons made in war years 1939 - 1945 in Czech munition factories. Foreword part deals with Czech production efore Munich agrément,suitable conditions for militarization and empowerment German Army nor the use in industry either for strategy location. In following chapters the work describes main munition factories (Škoda Plzeň - Skoda Werke, ČKD Praha - BMM, Munition faktory Brno)and due to occupation our country,Czechoslovakia,maximal use of technical and human potenciál in Protectorate.The same it documents sale of spare weapons (cannons and munition) and presents German production,too. In other chapters it directs to confrontal of weapons,thein improvement,following development,army tanks, (mainly tank ŠKODA vz. 35, tank ŠKODA vz. 35,light tank LT vz. 38 and later fighter tank and offensive cannons from útočná ČKD Prague , Marder III, Hetzer, Grille), infantry weapons made in Brnopěchotní (Carabine Mauser K98 and gunmachine MG34, MG42, MG131).
